Stripped down: photographer travels, takes pictures in a certain frame or a theme, makes a book and exhibitions, its art). Here it is the irish skateboarder / photographer Richard Gilligan who travels around in Europe and the Usa to take pictures of DIY skateparks. Alot of the photos also capture the landscape surrounding the sites. Since most of them are illegal, some of them wont exist anymore as of today. The full colour photos appear on the right page, the left page tells the reader the city, country and sometimes name of the spot. If you look for skate action, you wont find it here.
